I am writing this while watching Disney Princess movies. Since the song “once upon a dream” was playing in my head during Matthew and Jackie’s entire wedding. I stopped editing so I could write this since Im still on such a high. Mark and I spent the day with the sweetest couple. Not only that but every single person was so kind and lovely too. They picked a beautiful venue. In the heart of Atlanta. They got ready and had their elegant wedding at the wimbish house. The ceremony took place at Piedmont Park Docksidepiedmont park on the dock. It felt like a family wedding for us to photograph. It was such an honor to capture their special day, especially since they had to push it back and change locations. Finally getting to document these two get married felt like we should have been high fiving all day. Jackie and Matthew had to give up their dream disney wedding with all the restrictions and changes it just made sense to get married back home. They choose a smaller venue and guest count and really focused their love of really amazing food at a really awesome venue.

They got married on a beautiful sunny day. (Which I really wanted since my last 3 weddings have been very rainy.) We were beyond obsessed with everything. From their florals, the dress, their awesome wedding planner and choosing a first look!!

What I loved about this day wasn’t just the perfect lighting, or the beautiful details. It was how Jackie and her dress were made for each other. She twirled her way through the whole wedding. Her smile lit up everyone that was lucky enough to see her and then if you could tear your eyes away from her you would see something even more… the way Matthew would look at her. Y’all I swear. I’m so glad these two found each other. Then me, because I love being apart of weddings like these.

So they also had the coolest wedding ceremony. They had a surprise ring bearer. Where they hid their wedding bands under the seats and who ever had them under there got to be the ring bearer. Then the flower girl… I mean flower grandmas!! I seriously have a new life goal you guys. It was the sweetest moments ever. They wrote their own vows and warmed everyone’s heart.

It was such a beautiful day and I was so thrilled we were able to travel to photograph their wedding day!! The Mitchells are always up for a destination wedding. Always!!
