5 steps to get your own epic portraits

I'm so excited that you found me and want to know more about the portrait experience with Portrayable Photography. Here's how we create those fun & timeless images you will cherish for years to come. First just shoot me over an email to get in touch to see if I have any openings. If you are from out of town just let me know your dates you are in town. What type of session and any other fun information. 

Officially book your session

Once we nail down your date, time and location. I will send you over the booking proposal link via email. Once you are ready to book your session just click that link. The link will lead you to your custom client section. It will have all your session details, contracts and where you can pay your retainer. Once all that is completed then you are officially booked. Time to get outfits together.

Fill out your questionnaire

After you complete your booking proposal there will be an automatic email that will send out a couple days later. Within the questionnaire it has a bunch of questions that will help shape your session to fit your personal needs. I really appreciate you filling it out.

It's finally Session Day!!

Wahhooo. It is picture day. The day prior you got your session details email reminder. This is such a fun day. I will capture some really timeless images as well as some super cute candids. Expect to laugh and giggle throughout your sessions. I prompt you all throughout every pose and capture fun moments.

Time to get your gallery

After you session I start working on delivering your high quality images. I selected all the best image and edit the files. I send out some fun sneak peeks on instagram. Editing takes me about 2-3 weeks to complete. Once completed I will send your gallery out to your inbox and you can selected your files or download them all if they are included in your package.

Are digital files included?

Do you have insurance?

Yes!!  All of my package include some digital files. Depending on your package you might have 10, 50, or all the files on your online gallery. If your package doesn't include them all you get to choose your files, by adding them into your cart yourself. I normally have around 100 files for you to choose from. 

Now you are speaking my language. I love shooting at the beach. Since I'm based in central Florida we can choose either coast. Here's a link to some of my favorite beach locations. For beach sessions it is very important to either shoot 20 minutes before sunrise (to get on the beach while the sun is rising, which mimics sunset) or 1 hour before sunset and then we shoot a bit after sunset too for those twilight shots. Plan to be there for sunrise or sunset.

I typically will have all your files edited and sent to you by 3 weeks. Sometimes I'm a bit quicker but also look out for some sneak peeks about a week after your shoot on my social media accounts. 

Oh Florida, wonderful, rainy Florida. So if it is super duper bad and going to totally rain then we can easily use your back up date or reschedule your session. (Yup I request back up rain dates for all my out of town clients.) Then if your plans changed and you can't use your back up date or really only can use the one date then we can work around the location, using dry spots, overhangs. We can also move the session to locations that are suitable for a rainy session. I've also had great luck moving the session up or waiting out the rain. If we happen to have a hurricane your retainer will be refunded.

Yasssss. So this is easy peasy. It is all done online, through a custom booking proposal. I will need to know:
1.) Main contact full name & Email address 
2.) Package
3.) Time & Date (Along with your back up rain date, if possible)
4.) Portrait Location (If you don't know that's okay, we can still book without one)

Then I will send over a link with the booking proposal. When your ready you can review your package, pay your 50% non-refundable retainer & sign your contract all online. Once that is done your officially on my calendar. Note I can't hold your date without this. Session dates are first come, first serve. 

Oh gosh there are so many great one. But here's a quick list, not in any particular order:

I sure do! I would love to work you up a quote. Beach sessions have a $75 travel fee (For Central, FL beaches). Other locations will require a different travel fee so just contact me for a personalized quote. 

Sometimes I am traveling for work or personal vacations and I would love to do some random sessions while out of town. For some reason I get really inspired in new locations. 

This is a hard question to answer but I do have some great tips & a page dedicated to this. You can find that here. 
+ Stay away from huge logos on clothing
+ Try not to be overly matching, think coordinating colors, not matching
+ Avoid all white or all black clothing
+ Look at your home decor. Is it all bright and colorful? blues and cool tones? More Neutral?
+Think of your portrait location, use that as inspiration.
+Textures photograph really well. Like velvets, lace, knits. 
+Will you be able to freely move, sit, run and jump? Make sure your kids straps fit them

Oh heck yah! I have always had insurance since opening my business back in 2008. There are a bunch of locations that require insurance too.

I hope our shoots are super fun, During the session we will chat about it all from what your like about the location you choose, to what side (if any you prefer to have your pictures on. I love knowing more about you all too. Your portraits will showcase movement, candid moments, traditional poses, with cuddles, laughs and overall joy. The final images will have a bright and colorful feel to them all too.
