What to Expect During Your Senior Portrait Session at a Disney Resort
Table of Contents
I love when I get to photograph senior portraits at disney resorts. While I’m not a disney world photographer, I live really close and It makes amazing sense to take your portraits where your family vacations have been for your whole life. Where memories have been made over and over again. I actually got to photograph this family before and was so excited when her mom reached back out for her senior photoshoot.
We took these pictures at the beautiful Beach and Yacht club as well as the Boardwalk resort. It took about an hour to walk around the resorts and we photographed at so many spots. I also love that they reached out to the wonderful Stacie Otto to get her hair and make up done. As always it is flawless!!! If you want a great hair and makeup artist she has a great team https://www.stacieotto.com you can also follow her on IG – https://www.instagram.com/stacieottohairandmakeup/
Whether you choose a disney photography mini session or a full session, I wanted to add some tips if you’re planning on having your senior portraits taken at a Disney resort, you may be wondering what to expect during your session. In this blog post, we’ll walk you through what to expect during your senior portrait session at a Disney resort.
1 Get familiar with the type of portraits I shoot
Before your photo session, you’ll have the ability to let me know your visions for your senior portraits. I will work with you to choose the perfect location, outfits, and poses to create a personalized experience that reflects your personality and style.
2 Choose your location
Disney resorts offer a variety of locations for senior portraits, from iconic attractions to picturesque landscapes. I photograph senior portraits at your home base resort or a resort you have a dinning reservation at. This way we can both easily park on property.
3 Arrive early and be prepared
On the day of your senior portrait session, arrive early and be prepared. Make sure you have everything you need for your photoshoot, such as your outfits, props, and accessories. I will meet with you and go over your props and outfits so I can plan locations out at the beginning of the shoot. Does this mean you need to have props or multiple outfits? Nope, I’ve done many disney and orlando photoshops without those items.
4 Relax and have fun
During your senior portrait session, it’s important to relax and have fun. (And it is normal to be nervous for the first 15 minutes or so of your shoots, especially if we haven’t had a photoshoot together yet.) As your photographer, I will guide you through poses and make sure you’re comfortable throughout the session. This is your time to shine and showcase your personality, so don’t be afraid to be yourself! I normally can tell if you are more outgoing and do poses that reflect that or vise versa.
5 Review your photos
After your session, you’ll have the opportunity to review your photos online. Depending on your package you will have a set number of images (or all the images) from your gallery to choose from.
6 Receive your photos
Once you choose your photos your digital copies will be emailed over as high res files with the printing rights of your senior portraits. You’ll have the opportunity to download and share your photos with friends and family, as well as print them out for keepsakes.
In conclusion, a senior portrait session at a Disney resort is a unique and memorable experience that captures the magic of your senior year. By working with a professional photographer, choosing the perfect location, and being prepared and relaxed during your session, you’ll create lasting memories that you’ll cherish for years to come.
