YES! I love that more and more of my clients are opting for some locations around the Central FL area that are really cool. We took these at Wekiva Springs state park up in Apopka FL. Wekiwa Springs State Park is a 7,000-acre Florida State Park in Apopka, Florida. It is located 20 minutes north of Orlando, off Interstate 4 at exit 94, near Altamonte Springs and Longwood. The park also contains the head water of the Wekiva River.
It is open from 8 am to sundown and costs $6 per vehicle to enter. Wekiwa Springs has very high visitation on weekends and holidays. The park will close when it reaches capacity (150 cars) and no vehicles, cyclists or pedestrians will be allowed to enter until space becomes available. So I highly recommend a weekday/non holiday day for your session. Not only does it have the springs, it has amazing trees, boardwalks and one of the best fields I have ever photographed in FL.
I would highly recommend this location. Even a morning session would be really fun. As you could get there right when it opens. Do your session and then rent some kayaks and explore this awesome area. They have rentals too.
