But recently Disney updated their photography policies, and it has created a lot of confusion for couples planning proposals.
The short version is this. You can absolutely still propose at a Disney resort. What you can no longer do is bring in a professional third party photographer to photograph it.
That means photographers who are not directly contracted through Disney are no longer allowed to shoot proposals at Disney parks or Disney resorts.

Can You Still Propose at a Disney Resort?
Yes. Proposals are still allowed at Disney resorts and inside the parks.
However, professional photography at those locations must go through Disney’s own photography services. Outside photographers are not permitted to photograph proposals, engagement sessions, or portraits on Disney property.
This includes popular resort locations like:

- Disney’s BoardWalk Inn
- Disney’s Riviera Resort
- Disney’s Beach Club Resort

1. Bok Tower Gardens
This is one of the most breathtaking proposal locations in Central Florida.
The reflection pool with the singing tower in the background creates an unforgettable setting. The gardens are quiet, romantic, and perfect for a surprise proposal. This is by far one of the most magical locations we have here.
Sunset here is absolutely magical.
2. Lake Eola Park
If you want the Orlando skyline behind your proposal, this is a fantastic option.
The swan boats, lake views, and palm trees create a romantic setting right in downtown Orlando.
It is also one of the most iconic proposal spots in the city.
3. Kraft Azalea Garden
This hidden gem feels peaceful and intimate. Huge cypress trees line the waterfront and the Exedra monument is one of the most romantic proposal backdrops in the area.
It is especially beautiful during golden hour.
4. Rollins College
Rollins has stunning Mediterranean style architecture and beautiful lakeside views.
The campus looks like something straight out of a European destination wedding.
5. Leu Gardens
**Note the chandeliers are only there during dazzling night (which is their holiday light celebration)
If you love flowers and lush gardens, this location is a dream. They even have a really pretty fountain that looks a lot like Grand Floridian Resort.
*Bonus Tip!! If you are proposing when they have their holiday lights they have the prettiest path with chandelier lined in the trees. If you could get your proposal here before the evening it would be the best.
The rose garden, oak trees, and winding paths create endless romantic proposal spots.
6. Cypress Grove Park
This location has lake views, oak trees, and a historic estate that feels elegant and timeless.
Sunset here reflects beautifully off the water.
7. Lake Louisa State Park
For couples who love nature, this location offers open landscapes, lake views, and incredible sunset light.
It is one of the most peaceful places to propose near Orlando.
8. Celebration Lakeside Park & Savannah Square
Celebration has charming streets, waterfront views, and a romantic small town feel just minutes from Disney.
The boardwalk and lake make for a perfect proposal backdrop.
9. Cocoa Beach (Or West Coast Beach like Upham in St. Pete)
Ha even honeymoon island would be a good beach to go to, pun intended. Yep one very romantic proposal location in orlando
What is better than the beach? A proposal at the Beach of course. You know if your partner is a beach lover. Sunset on the beach is a great time to get proposed too.
It feels normal to go for a walk along the beach before dinner.
10. Kelly Rock Springs
This location is a gem it has such an energy to it. It feels calm and tropical while still allowing professional photography. **Please note this location is best not on weekends, holiday, or summer due to the overwhelming amount of people trying to get in.
