Newborn portraits are best taken during the first two weeks of life, when babies most enjoy being bundled up in blankets and wraps. Book your shoot during the second or third trimester of pregnancy to secure your session spot. We’ll pick the exact date and time after your little one arrives.
If you’ve just discovered me and your little one will arrive shortly or is already here reach out call and we’ll do all we can to accommodate and schedule a session.

Once I get all those details, I will send over a booking proposal link in an email. To secure your spot on my calendar I require a 50% non refundable retainer along with a signed contract.

Before the shoot, you’ll fill out a pre-session questionnaire so we can learn about your style and color preferences. Then, we’ll custom-design 2-4 different photography sets for your newborn portraits. We’ll also send you several emails to help you prepare for the session and go over all your questions and concerns.

Planning your Session
I'm a unique newborn photographer as I come to your house to set up a mobile studio. I have found that it is way easier for my parents to have me meet at their house vs. you packing up your little nugget and coming to a studio space. I did both when I had my kids and I much prefer staying at home.
Be prepared for 3-4 hours. No we won't be shooting that whole time just making sure baby is happy and fed. That being said there are some prep work for your at home newborn session.

Your Newborn Session Day
Session day newborn tips
Once I arrive you can feed your baby, without any clothes, just a diaper & wrapped in blanket. We want a very full little one so that again they sleep soundly.
When your baby is Asleep please let me know and we will start with family pictures.
It will take me about 30 mins to set up my mobile studio.
Items to have on hand - Wipes, pacifier, any special items.
With the session I take shots of the baby alone & with the parents. I can shoot in lifestyle portraits or studio style portraits
During your session, I will pose and handle your baby with the utmost care. If the baby is really wide awake and does not want to sleep, I will swaddle the baby to get some photos.
Your newborn session will last approximately 3-4 hours long. This ensures we have enough time to pose and take whatever breaks necessary such as feedings.
No worries if your baby poops or pees during the session. It happens a lot and everything is washable.
Once I arrive we will need to turn the heat up to around 80 degrees. This is best for baby to keep them sound asleep.

+Wear something comfortable. I rarely ever show anything below the waist in a portrait.
+As far as the tops are concerned I love black, grey, tan, light pink, light blue tops for mom and dad. Dad in Jeans. Also simple plain, non-buttoned shirts are best. I actually love the plain undershirts dad's wear.
+Avoid branded items, prints, or horizontal lines
+Also please ensure that fingernails and facial hair are groomed.
+Do try and iron clothes and use a lint roller as wrinkles tend to stand out in pictures.
+Spare shirts for both of you. Babies do poop/pee and accidents happen.

What to wear
Approximately 3 weeks following your session, I will email you a password to your online proofing gallery. The online gallery will remain active for 4 weeks.
Please allow 2 to 3 weeks for the delivery of physical goods.
