Fun Wedding Photographer in Central Florida

From ChampionsGate to the Jersey Shore
I first met this incredible couple in Orlando, Florida. They were referred to me by a mutual friend and we instantly clicked! For their engagement session, we chose the ChampionsGate Golf Resort—where my husband happens to work—which made the location extra special. The light, the love, and the laughter during that shoot gave me a strong feeling that their wedding was going to be something amazing. And I was right.
Destination Wedding at Icona Diamond Beach
Fast forward to New Jersey where they tied the knot at the Icona Diamond Beach Resort, a stunning oceanfront venue. Though I’m based in Central Florida, I love traveling for weddings, especially when it involves beach views and the chance to reconnect with a couple I now call friends. I even go to dinner with them when they’re in town—we truly became close.
A Rain-Free First Look and Photo Timeline
One of the best decisions they made was doing a first look. Not only was it emotional and beautiful, but it also gave us the flexibility to take all of their wedding portraits—family, wedding party, and couple photos—before the ceremony. This helped us completely avoid any potential rain. And as if the weather was part of the plan, the sun came out just in time for the ceremony on the beach!
Cocktail Hour & Oceanfront Views
Their cocktail hour took place under a tent on the beach. Guests sipped drinks with their feet in the sand while the ocean breeze set the mood. Afterward, we moved to the 3rd floor ballroom at Icona Diamond Beach which overlooks the Atlantic Ocean. Talk about a reception with a view!
Sax Solos, Crab Cakes & a Cooler Entrance
This wedding had everything. An electric drummer and a saxophone player brought the dance floor to life. The couple had their first dance, followed by a lively horah with family and friends lifting chairs and dancing in circles. The dinner? Crab cakes and filet mignon—absolutely phenomenal.
Oh, and did I mention the Fudgy Wudgy man? He rolled into the ballroom on a cooler, serving up ice cream bars. It was such a fun, nostalgic touch, and the couple even rode the cooler into the party! The night ended with everyone singing along to Fall Out Boy, and it was pure magic.
