Disney’s island village Polynesian resort photoshoot

As a Disney’s Polynesian Resort family photographer, one of my favorite parts of this job is that every session tells its own story. Sometimes that story includes Florida sunshine, and sometimes it means a little rain—but either way, the magic always shines through!
This sweet family planned a mini session at the new Disney’s Polynesian Island Tower, but Florida weather had other plans. What was supposed to be a quick set of portraits turned into an hour-long adventure as we waited out the passing showers. Honestly? It couldn’t have worked out better. The extra time gave us space to slow down, laugh together, and capture such natural moments with not only mom, dad, and kids—but also the grandparents, which made this shoot extra special.
The Disney’s Island Village Polynesian Resort photoshoot gave us a beautiful mix of vibrant architecture, tropical backdrops, and that cozy “vacation together” feeling that makes this location so unique. Rain or shine, the Polynesian truly captures the spirit of family togetherness, and it shows in every portrait we created.
What I love most about photographing here is that the Polynesian isn’t just a resort—it’s a piece of Disney magic, filled with textures, colors, and details that make your family photos stand out. And when grandparents join the session? That’s the heart of it all—capturing not just this season of your life, but the love that stretches across generations.
If you’re planning a Disney vacation and want portraits that feel as timeless as the memories you’re making, I’d love to be your Disney’s Polynesian Resort family photographer. Rain or shine, I’ll make sure your story is told beautifully.
