These sessions are only able to be captured in a 2 week window a year. This year I set up the sessions a bit different. I offered full sessions instead of minis and it was 100% the right way to go. We could explore and have the kids run and play, perfect option for a non stressful day in the flowers. Next year I am 100% setting up 45 min sessions so I will only offer a handful of them next year, as I could probably do about 2-3 a day. If you want to get on the first priority email list you just need to let me know. The sessions take place around the last week in April or first week in May. This year I was watching the field like crazy since the purple flowers popped so early and the yellows were so late, so we had a lot of yellow flowers this year. I have learned so much about wildflowers. We always need a bit of warmer weather for the purples to pop up, those last about a month, then the yellows only really last around 2 weeks. The yellows will only pop up after a good amount of rain and some warmer weather, which is why there wasn’t much purple. February was warmer this year so the purples freaked out and popped early, then it got cold again and Im waiting and waiting for the yellows but my scheduled time worked out beautifully this year. So long story short, we need a 2 week window for the session. You definitely want to be in the field during the peak.
