I still can’t stop smiling thinking about this morning proposal at Bok Tower Gardens. Every single detail came together perfectly, and I feel so lucky to have been part of it. These are the moments I live for as a proposal photographer.

This groom-to-be wanted to make sure everything went off without a hitch, so we planned for an early morning session to avoid Florida’s unpredictable afternoon showers. Smart move. The weather was beautiful, the gardens were quiet, and the moment was absolutely unforgettable.

A Creative Proposal Setup Disguised as Family Photos

Here’s where it gets fun. He told his partner they had scheduled family photos at Bok Tower Gardens. Totally casual. Just a nice little photo shoot with the kids. But hidden in his boot was an engagement ring waiting to change their lives forever.

When we arrived, I posed the kids in the background and pulled the two of them forward for a sweet parent shot. Then with a quick nod from me, it all began. He dropped to one knee and the reaction was everything. So much surprise. So much joy. It was one of those 100 percent amazing moments that you never forget.
