Large Multi-Generational Family Photo Shoot in Reunion Resort
28 people folks, 28 people and only one headship needed (That was an adult too. Ha) I got to photograph this huge family while they were in Orlando on their family reunion trip. I have dreamed about doing this with my family but man is it hard to get together. I am so happy they choose to have me photograph them when they all were in town too. And at a very close location to me that I know very very well. We had beautiful lighting and weather too!!!
Family reunion vacation are a wonderful opportunity to spend quality time with loved ones and create lasting memories. Whether you’re celebrating a milestone birthday, an anniversary, or just enjoying each other’s company, a family photo shoot can help you capture these special moments forever. Recently, I had the pleasure of photographing a large multi-generational family in Reunion Resort, and we want to share their story with you.
Reunion Resort in Orlando, Florida, is the perfect location for a family reunion. With its beautiful landscapes, luxurious accommodations, and endless activities, it’s easy to see why this resort is a popular choice for families. Our multi-generational family had booked a large villa with plenty of space for everyone to stay together and enjoy each other’s company. We met up at my favorite park in there area and we did something a little different. We had one family drive over earlier (Since they needed to get back to cook dinner). So they got their portraits done first, then I made a huge list and organized the groupings to shoot all poses with them first, so we went right into these shots:
Large family grouping in two locations, Great Grandma with each immediate family (From her children), Great grandma with great grand littles, then Grandma and grand kids, Mom with her kids, so on and so forth. Then we finished with each grouping.
Before the photo shoot, I spoke with the family to get a sense of what they wanted to capture in their pictures. They expressed that they wanted to capture the fun and excitement of being together, but also the deep love and connection they shared. We decided to do the photo shoot outdoors in the resort’s beautiful grounds, which provided a natural and relaxed atmosphere. I was so thankful that they filled out my online questionnaire too so I could spend time reviewing names and groupings.
On the day of the photo shoot, I arrived early to scout out the location and set up may equipment. The family arrived shortly after, and I could feel the energy and excitement in the air. We started with some candid shots of the family playing games and interacting with each other, which helped everyone to relax and get comfortable in front of the camera. As the shoot progressed, we took a variety of shots that included the entire family, smaller groups, and individual portraits.
The final photos were stunning and captured the family’s personalities and relationships perfectly. This is a great family reunion photoshoot ideas. There were images of grandparents playing with their grandchildren, cousins laughing and having fun, and siblings hugging each other. The family was thrilled with the shoot and I can’t wait to share all of the images. Choose me for your next family reunion photographer in Orlando FL.
